Davis CountyBlackrock Decks is a licensed and insured general contractor and certified TrexPro Platinum installer building custom decks in Bountiful, Utah, with 40+ years of experience. Bountiful homes sit up on the east bench with some of the best views in Davis County, and we build decks, patio covers, pergolas, custom roofs, and railing that make the most of them.
This Bountiful homeowner wanted an outdoor space that matched the brick and trim of their home and took full advantage of the view. We built it with Trex Transcend Lineage decking in Biscayne, running the boards on a diagonal with a contrasting border, and finished the edge with black metal railing so nothing gets in the way of the valley below.

Bench homes in Bountiful get full afternoon sun in the summer and real snow in the winter. Composite decking like Trex holds up to both without the sanding, staining, and splinters that come with wood, and a roof over the deck keeps it usable through more of the year.
We also build across the rest of Davis County, including Centerville, Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful, and Woods Cross. See all of our service areas.
Yes. Blackrock Decks builds custom decks, patio covers, pergolas, custom roofs, and railing in Bountiful and across Davis County, including West Bountiful, Centerville, Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, North Salt Lake, and Woods Cross.
Every Blackrock deck is uniquely priced based on your home and project, so we don't offer a flat price list. Factors like deck size, material line, height, stairs, railing, and additions such as a roof or lighting all influence the final cost. We measure your space and provide a no-cost estimate tailored to your project.
Permitting requirements vary by project. As a licensed general contractor, Blackrock Decks handles the full scope of your project, including permits and engineering, so you don't have to sort it out on your own.
Every project is different. Smaller builds may take a few days, while larger or more involved projects can take a few weeks. We'll keep you informed every step of the way.
Composite decking like Trex resists the freeze-thaw cycles, UV, and snow load that wear out a wood deck on the Wasatch Front. Composite decking typically lasts 25 to 50 years with basic care, roughly double the 10-to-15-year lifespan of a wood deck, with no yearly sanding or staining.
Every project we build carries our five-year Blackrock Decks labor and craftsmanship warranty. All materials are warrantied by their manufacturer, and as a TrexPro Platinum installer, your Trex project can qualify for additional manufacturer warranty coverage.
